Dalbeattie Forest and the 7stanes Mountain Biking Trails
The Forestry Commission Scotland have established seven mountain biking centres in Southern Scotland under the banner of "7stanes". One of these centres is at Dalbeattie Forest which is located very close to our accommodation.
The Dalbeatte Forest trails with their coastal settings, are comparatively without high hills, but are none the less very exciting. Graded into 4 separate trails designed for riders with different skills and abilities, these trails offer something interesting and exciting for all the family.
The trails can be joined only a few hundred yards from the site or at the Richorn Car Park, approximately 1 mile away, where the Trail Head is located. A brochure, with full information on the trails is in our welcome pack in the Caravan. Information is also available from the 7stanes website
